Data alerts allow you to stay informed of fluctuations of critical indicators. For example, you may want to receive alerts when the US unemployment rate, Brent oil price, or EUR/USD breaks a particular threshold.
With Knoema, you can set up data alerts for a particular time series in a dataset or for indicators in the World Data Atlas.
To set up a data alert in a dataset open it in the Dataset Viewer, make a selection, and click Data Alert (bell icon).
In the menu, choose a time-series (if you have several selected), set a condition which will trigger an alert ('is less than' or 'is more than'), and specify a threshold. For example, if you want to receive an alert when the US jobless claims drop below 200 thousand, the data alert setting should look like this:
Set alerts the same way in the World Data Atlas.
Once you set up an alert, you will receive an e-mail notification each time an indicator breaks a specified threshold.
You can manage all of your alerts in Notification Settings to remove, adjust conditions, and change notification frequency.
