If you selected to create a new visualization gadget from scratch, you will get to the visualization editor once you click one of the buttons with visualizations.
Creation of all visualizations starts with selection of a dataset in the Dataset Selection tab
Before creation of a visualization, you may previously found a needed dataset and added it to your favorites. In this case, you can select a dataset from your favorites in the Personal tab. You can also select from recently used datasets or datasets shared with you by other users.
If you do not have your personal datasets, you can browse them by Topics, Sources or Regions. Here, you can filter datasets by selecting particular topic, source and region. You can use several filters at once, for example, if you need datasets on commodities in Greece from Eurostat, select topic “Commodities”, then switch to Sources and select source “Eurostat”, then in Regions select “Greece”.

You can also find need dataset using search. You can search by datasets or time series.
After you selected a dataset you need to make a selection in this dataset which is done absolutely the same as in the dataset viewer. Also, same as in the dataset viewer you can select visualization type once the selection is made. After you got the needed visualization, you can customize it and adjust its appearance. Then save your visualization.
There is a option to create a visualization on the basis of several datasets. For example, you may want to compare GDP from different sources. After adding data from one dataset, go to “Dataset Browser” and select another dataset. Then switch between datasets to customize the selection.
