Feature is not available on all Enterprise systems.
Your system will be created with initial content already included, based on your input. But, how do you manage that content after your system is launched?
Management of topics and dashboards featured in your Dashboard (sometimes called "Reports" or "Insights") menu is done through Knoema’s content management system (CMS) available from the Content Editor option in the menu at the top right of your system. Only system admins/managers will see or have access to this editor. From the Content Editor, choose the Dashboards tab.
Intuitive icons are available to guide you through making adjustments to your dashboard menu, including changing content to add/remove, or adjusting the sequence, names, and links of the existing content.
To create content to populate your dashboard menu, it must first exist on the system. You will create dashboards and include on each any relevant tags to enable featuring and organization within all topically relevant dashboard galleries. A dashboard may appear in more than one! Please set your dashboards to ‘Public’ to ensure system users will be able to view them.
- For example, if you want an ‘New Markets - Strategy’ topic in your dashboard menu you could use a simple tag such as ‘MarketDev’ on any dashboards you might want to feature in the menu. You may have many more dashboards tagged as MarketDev than you will feature, but they will then still appear in the MarketDev dashboard gallery.
- You can access the gallery by clicking on the header New Markets - Strategy in the dashboard menu.
Once you have dashboards ready, you can add them to your dashboards menu from the CMS.
- All dashboards have an associated random alpha ID tag that immediately follows the portal name. For example, in https://companyname.knoema.com/yyyytyt/ has the unique ID of yyyytyt. This ID is what you will enter in the URL field when adding the dashboard to a topic.
- To get a URL for a primary topic, simply add the tag name to the end of your system’s url. For example, https:// companyname.knoema.com/MarketDev.
