How to change default table layout and move a dimension to rows or columns?

When customizing a table you may need to traspose it or move some specific dimensions to rows, columns or filters.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Start editing a page and edit a table gadget.
  2. On the Dimension Filter tab, click Customize button on the top-right corner of the dimension list.

The Customize button might not be available. It means that you already used this button and set up custom names for dimension elements or introduced calculated elements. Simply jump to step 3 in this case.

The appearabce of the dialog will change,

  3. Click a part of the table where a dimension is currently located.
  4. Select a dimesnions you would like to move.
  5. Click C (Columns) to move a dimension to columns, R (Rows) to move a dimension to rors or F (Filter) to treat a dimension as a filter. Availability of C, R and F buttons depend on where a dimension is currently located.

To transpose a table, you will need to move all its dimensions from rows to columns and and all dimensions from columns to rows.

The same approach is applicable to charts. The only difference is that charts have P (points) and S (series) instead of C (columns) and R (rows) buttons.

  6. When Columns or Rows include more than one dimension, use Up and Down buttons to reorder dimensions.

  7. Click Save to apply changes.
